Yesterday I had plans to meet some friends and go to PrideFest at the Civic Center. Of course, I overslept and got there 45 minutes late with a dead cellphone battery. I never found my friends, BUT I still had fun at the festival, where I:

*Bought a "Pride Not Prejudice" shirt
*Got a necklace with a real dead bug inside
*Purchased a new set of earrings from a local artist
*Ate fried catfish and garlic fries, mmm...
*Tried out an oxygen bar for the very first time- very strange, yet refreshing
*Signed petitions
*Saw a man wearing chaps
*Was given a banana because I'm a vegetarian (free food!)
*Ended up with sunburned shoulders

And last but not least,

*Vaccinated myself against Hepatitis A and B!

Everybody should protect themselves! There's no excuse, most cities provide free vaccine shots.

I decided to opt out of going to the parade, because I'd left my camera somewhere and I don't want to torture myself...
